A registered nurse for 24 years, Brenda has worked in the Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical unit, Pediatrics, Long Term Care, Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation, Psychiatry and as a Nursing Supervisor.
She is currently employed as the Senior Ability Advisor for the South Zone with Alberta Health Services and has performed the role of a disability case manager for the organization since 2006. Brenda assists in coordinating the care and assessments of medically-absent employees for reintegration back into the workplace.
Brenda completed Connect Expert’s Legal Nurse Consultant course and as well as Nurse Life Care Planner courses. Life Coaching, Conflict Management and Personality Dimensions Facilitation program completions lend to her strong communication and assessment skills.
She has attended multiple Law Accommodation Workshops for management of persons with disabilities.
Brenda has a wealth of experience working with all stakeholders such as IME providers, physicians, treatment care providers, insurance companies, medical equipment providers, legal teams and other partners.
She is a member in good standing with the College & Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) and the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA). She is currently seeking membership to the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners (AANLCP).
